Jackie – was a colleague of my for some fourteen years when I was South Bank University. Jackie was an inspirational teacher and a great support to me early in my career. Her dedication to her students was legendary and as a colleague she was always the person to go to when you had an issue. She also had a wicked sense of humour and that magical smile when she made a comment about the mishaps and sometimes large egos that happen in a university which just brought you back to earth.  Professor Paul Palmer DL
